The garden is open all year  10 am to dusk, seven days a week

Collection/special featuresHoly Island can only be reached by vehicle or on foot via a three mile causeway, which is closed from two hours before high tide until three hours after. Tide tables are printed in local newspapers, on Northumberland County Council website and displayed at the causeway. To avoid disappointment check safe crossing times before making a long/special journey. No large bags, pushchairs or rucksacks allowed inside castle.   Emergency WC only; otherwise its back in the village one mile from castle.  They fly the national trust flag when the castle is open to avoid disappointing visitors who might travel all that way and find the premises closed, but the gardens are always open

Description – The house is lovely but the real beauty of Lindisfarne is the charming walled garden planned by Gertrude Jekyll. The property also has several extremely well-preserved nineteenth century lime kilns.
